New Website

New updates at last!

We're still several months from the Festival but already a lot of work has been going behind the scenes.

We have a new website too, to run alongside this blog.

http://www.northeastclf.btik.com/

The blog will continue to provide the latest news and the new website will feature more in the way of information, photos, reviews and other bits and pieces.

Stay tuned as there will be a major guest announcement over the next couple of days.

Early Days

The early days of the new Festival project are very busy and so far the feedback has been very positive.

I will soon be able to announce the first confirmed guest author and once we have one or two on board the timetable for the week will start to really take shape.

Meanwhile, if any authors out there have not been contacted by me and would like to be considered then by all means let me know by adding a comment to this post (or indeed any post on this site).

Announcing The Festival

I am very pleased to announce a brand new North East England Children's Literature Festival.

Dates: Monday 5th October - Saturday 10th October 2009

Venue: Teesside High School, Eaglescliffe, Stockton-on-Tees.

We are hoping to have at least one author visit the school per day to work with children from all over the North East of England.

I am currently in the process of booking authors and I am planning one or two surprises for evening events in addition to the main Festival activities.

Keep checking back for further details. There will be lots of announcements as we head towards October.
